You may not be able to tell right now, but I am not here. That is, I am not where I usually am when I write. Really, I won’t be here again for another couple of days. Jobs are sometimes quite demanding.
Anyway, I was going to write another post about goal setting, how to reduce stress, and productivity today but I got to thinking about a couple of people I met here (on the web) and that got me thinking about their writing. So I went looking around to see if they still inspire me.
One of these people is Matthew Needham. Now, I have to admit that the first thing I noticed about him was his name. Need & ham. A great combination of words to have as a last name to be sure. I love it.
Anyway, just to stop rambling here, I am going to get to the point. Matthew wrote a post called “The 7 Link Challenge – #7links” and in reading it, I found that it was about something called a sneeze page. Now that is also very funny, so I was basically in blog heaven. Apparently, a nice man named Darren Rowse wrote a post called “Take the 7 Link Challenge Today #7links” and I figured I would copy Matthew’s idea here. Really, I don’t really want to have to think too much today. It is hot out.

5 Myths About Goal Setting
I see many people setting goals every day but still not getting to where they want to be. There is so much conversation about measurable goals, goal planning, and smart goals. So, why do you still have to wonder why you can’t achieve your goals?
Now that we have taken a look at a method that can be used to determine If you use your time wisely and then thought about time management and your goals, it seems like a great time to talk about some goal setting myths. read more…
Time Management and Your Goals
Last time we spoke, the subject was How to Determine If You Use Your Time Wisely. Well, I suppose that we did not exactly speak.
Anyway, in that post I mentioned my point of view on how you can determine if you are using your time wisely (yeah, the title does make that kind of obvious). Today I would like to present a few of my thoughts on goal setting. read more…
Hi. Thanks for stopping by.
I am probably up to my elbows in work right now, but I wanted to let you know that I wrote a guest post for Brandon Connell’s blog & it is called How To Choose A Niche. Please stop by and leave a comment; even if only to tell me you hate that post.
Also, if you did not read it yet, the latest post here on icebluebanana.com is How to Determine If You Use Your Time Wisely.
I hope you are having a good day!
Last week one of the people on my team at work said something like “I just don’t know where the time went; I have gotten nothing done today.” Of course, it is not generally a good idea for that person to announce this to me, but I understand what they meant.
There have been many times in the past couple of weeks that I have wondered if I could do something to optimize my use of time and the time of the people on my team. Because of this, I have started to do a weekly time analysis which has been proven to be very helpful for planning. The great thing about this is that there are really only three (very simple) steps & there are really no special time management skills required.
This Week on the Web, 11 July 2010

I was (mostly) away from this blog for about three weeks up until this past Sunday. In that time there were many, many things that I thought about. Unfortunately I did not write any of it down, so I had to come up with new stuff for posts. I chose to just write and hope for the best.
I also tried to increase my Twitter following a bit, and I know this does not sound like it is related to the topic today, but someday I want to have as many followers as Aaron Lee.
Anyway, onto the good stuff –
How Change Can Happen to You
As I write this I am sitting on the bus riding closer and closer to home. My computer is in a bag on my lap and my suit jacket is smashed on top, under the weight of my barely movable arms. My tie has been loosened so that I can breathe a little easier but I am still just as aware of it as I was during the meeting that caused me to leave work a little early today.
