on January 31st, 2011Bad days suck, and it is often comforting to talk to a friend about your situation. Unfortunately, the place you work is often not a place where you will find such a friend. No matter how much you want it to be.

A New Blogging Beginning
on November 24th, 2010This is my first day back. Actually, at this point, I am just sitting at my desk at home preparing for this site to come back in a couple of weeks.
It was a few months ago that I stopped publishing new articles on icebluebanana.com and it has been a bit difficult for me to stay away.

on July 26th, 2010You may not be able to tell right now, but I am not here. That is, I am not where I usually am when I write. Really, I won’t be here again for another couple of days. Jobs are sometimes quite demanding.

Creativity, in my estimation, is the ability to make decisions which allow you to make something new; something that communicates an idea or a feeling. Creativity allows you to invent something from whatever materials you choose. The materials you have and choose to use are also results of decisions that you have made.

On Change: How To Get Promoted
on June 13th, 2010Image credit: Aidan Jones This is part of (yet another) new series, this time on life changes. In the recent past, I have written about defining balance, the possibility that work/life balance may be a scam, and the possibility that the end times are near for true innovation. Now I think that it is only [...]

Innovation’s Last Stand
on June 8th, 2010Image credit: pareeerica Being innovative is part of being human. Everyone you see, everyone you meet, everyone you hear has been involved in some kind of innovation at some point of their life. Whether they created a new way to travel or a new way to annoy their aunt, everyone has found a new way [...]
